The Saliba are an original ethnic group that lives in Colombia and Venezuela. In Colombia live Casanare (Orocué, Hato Corozal and Paz de Ariporo), Meta (Puerto Gaitán) and Vichada [Santa Rosalía). In the municipality of Orocué there are 8 reservations: Macucuana, Saladillo, Paravare, El Consejo, El Suspiro, San Juanito, El Médano and El Duya. In total they add about 40,000 hectares. In Venezuela they live in the north of the Amazon state and are in the process of assimilation. They live from agriculture, fishing, hunting and making handicrafts
